The way things been going, how much longer do you think it's gonna take for them to reach to the July cases? Seems like they are about five months behind according to their web site. But yet I'm seeing many threads claiming that some of the June cases have been approved. If so why aren't they updating their status?

Honestly, it's totally 100% random.

Here's what my senator's office got when they asked about the current timeline situation. The congressional liaison said that...

"Each petition is unique and therefore, worked on a case by case basis."

In other words there is no time frame, just patterns that you can follow if you want to put forth the effort of gathering other people's timelines.

Dan & Sheryl (Twin Cities, MN and Calgary, AB Canada)

Feb 29 2004 - Met on LiveJournal.com

July 25 2005 - Things start to get 'romantic'

July 10 2006 - RFE received

Aug 8 2006 - Congressional inquiry - told 129F cases are processed based on IMBRA RFE

Sept 20 2006 - Called DHS - Was told another RFE was sent three weeks ago

Sept 21 2006 - Local USCIS office claims RFE is a request for 'initial' evidence - RFE must be lost or was never actually sent.

Sept 22 2006 - Congressional inquiry #2- told "We are working on your case, please allow 60 days" ARGGHH

we have been led to believe (including my senators office) that they are working them more/less in the order or rfe reciept. so, march through around june all kinda got bunched together since the rfe's went out together, or at least close together.

7/06/06 - Delivery Confirmation from the Post Office RFE recieved

7/11/06 - Email notification from CSC that IMBRA RFE Recieved

7/12/06 - Touched (but was to respond to an email that only said 'request recieved and will be processed within 30 days. argh)

7/13/06 - Touched

Don't bother with those processing times right now, at this point they are meaningless. We've got people on here who filed first part of June that have been approved. We've also got people who filed back in March and even earlier who are still waiting.

All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.

It seems to me that the March applicants are getting the 'short end of the stick' for what ever reason, many people have had approvals that applied in May - pray for those march applicants!

I'm just curious, was your touchn on 7-25 caused by email or phone call, or was it just a 'touch out of the blue'

The processing times are messed up right now due to IMBRA and might take a while to get fixed. Just keep looking at when people are getting there NOA2 and that might help you "guess" when your case might be approved.

If they have one case left from March 6, they do not change their processing dates. And due to IMBRA, they have many many many March cases still left. No way to know when they will get to July - there is no order or logic to the process. They will get to you when they do and pay no attention to the processing dates they post.

Please don't hurt yourself going by what USCIS is stating. It is dust in your eyes! They work by what it's more convenient for their lazy butts.

I just got off the phone with the senators office. Apparently this is completely random. The CSC USCIS director decided that the best way to process these going forward is to stuff all the petitions in a pinata, blindfold the temp, and have him whack it with a stick. Whichever petition falls out first, is processed first. If it's too damaged by the stick wacking it gets stuffed back in the pinata for more whacking. I hope this clears things up.

Sound like there is to much WACKING OFF going on and not much work being accomplised. Appears they need to wash their hands and get back to work.

Thanks for that update - I think that was the best explanation we've heard lately.

Now if I could only get my hands on that stick and Christina Poulus, the director of CSC, what fun I would have

I'm just so tired. I wanna get on with my life already. Too long for us all to be held prisoners.

For me it has only been.. coming on 4 months. But that is long enough I guess. What makes it all seem worse is that we know things were just held up and sitting for months until they sorted out the IMBRA stuff.

Yes, and it'll be that until this IMBRA ####### pans out.
