Sometimes bad things end up producing good ends for people or later generations.

While the holocaust was a horrible event, there's also the argument that on a scale of population control, it had its benefits. The entire war did... Estimated over 70,000,000 people were killed. Do the math on atleast half of those having an average of 3-4 children, then grandchildren, etc.. and then tack that on to today's population in some areas.

Even the worst events in history. Even the worst atrocities committed by individuals, ultiamtely have their benefits.

That's a disgusting opinion. Not only that it is entirely baseless. You can't reduce something like that down to mathematics - how ridiculous!

Out of all the black people that were taken to different countries, the ones in America suffered the most. It's pretty ridiculous to say that it took almost a century after Abe decided to abolish slavery to recognize their rights, and they are still hated in some places, regardless of how you want to bunch them up, which is incorrect by the way. You may want to think that Aussies are all smart, and fit, and perfectly engineered. But some people,and that article someone posted point otherwise.

Who forgets? I'm sure most people are aware that slavery went on beyond the America. We have several thousand years of history of it in fact.

Laying a plaque to recognise that the capital was build by the sweat and blood of black African slaves isn't unreasonable. Trying to mitigate that by relatvising it against other examples of slavery is bizarre. Why would someone want to do that? It seems a bit distasteful...

Think of population growth rate at the time and the average number of chldren born.

It's a pretty fair shake to look at how significant the numbers would be today on our population.

You can call it disgusting all you want, but it's not baseless unless you want to deny the obvious.

Speculation is pointless because there is no obvious cause and effect; and noone can say with any degree of certainty what the modern world would look like if WW2 and the Holocaust had not taken place.

Depends on how you look at it.

Eugenics isn't necessarily a bad thing. When you look at all the ills of the world, etc. Being able to irradicate certain aspects of society has its benefits. - There again no matter what there will always be those at the bottom of the food chain and those who are considered to be sub-par, but the idea itself is not a bad one.

I'm not advocating genocide mind you by any means, but there are inherent benefits to a decrease in the world's population.
