I sent in my AOS package last weekend and I was wondering how I will receive my NOA's. I don't think I wrote down my email address anywhere. Will they sent me a letter? Will this have the case numbers on it so I can check the status online??

I also applied for an EAD and AP. How can I check the status for that??

AOS from F-1 Timeline

(based on marriage to USC)

2010-06-12 Send I-130 and I-485 packages

2010-06-16 arrived at Chicago lockbox

2010-06-23 Checks cashed

2010-06-25 Received NOAs for 1-130, I-485, I-765 (EAD) and I-131 (AP)

2010-07-09 I-130, I-765 and I-131 touched

2010-07-23 called USCIC about biometrics letter. They said to wait another 45 days

2010-08-10 infopass appointment to expedite I-131 (AP)

2010-08-13 I-131 (AP) touched and approved

2010-08-13 I-765 (EAD) touched

2010-08-19 I-131 (AP) touched

2010-08-21 I-131 (AP) received ...YAY!!!

2010-08-27 Received my biometrics letter

2010-09-07 Biometrics done, touch on I-765 and I-485

2010-09-07 I-765 (EAD) approved

2010-09-17 EAD and interview letter received

2010-10-22 Interview --> Approved

2010-11-04 Received GC in mail

ROC

2012-09-07 Mailed I-751 to CA

2012-09-20 Received Biometrics Appointment

You get them in the mail. Yes, they have receipt numbers on them so you can check your status - and so you can set up alerts.

Not sure re: AP, but you get a form for the 765 just like you do for the 485 and 130.

Married - 3/12/10

AOS Filed - 5/13/10

Biometrics received - 6/5/10

Biometrics done - 6/9/10

RFE Received 6/10/10

Touched - 6/7/10, 6/16/10, 6/17,10 (all)

RFE delivered - 6/29/10

Resumed processing - 6/30/10

EAD Production Ordered - 7/2/10, 7/8/10, mailed 7/15/10

Touched - 7/6/10, 7/8/10 (485, 765)

Touched EAD - 7/16/10

EAD Received!! - 7/17/10

Interview - August 30, 8:45- Approved!

Well with the little research that I did with mine and other people time table.I guess it would be an average of 12days from when USCIS received the package.I sent my June 3rd,got delivered 9.39am on June 4th,sent the 3 NOA1s on the June 9th and I received it on the mail on June 14th.That is 10days.

I did mine by myself and I didnt write my email address as well.But surely they will send you the NOA1s in that time frame above.Right now I am still trying to track my status on the USCIS website but it aren't going true because my information has not been updated into the USCIS database.I have to waite minimum of 7days for it to be updated says the USCIS customer service.

When you receive the 4 NOA1s(AP,EAD, I-485,I-130),there will be receipt on each one and you can track the status there unless when your information is being updated into the system.

Once you get your NOAs with the case #s, you can create a profile/user account here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/selectusertype.jsp

You can add all your case numbers into your profile and sign up for email and/or text updates.
