Gud am to all. Our request for change of consulate from US Embassy Manila to US Embassy Singapore has already been approved which means processing of our papers and interview will already take place here. Thank God! :wow: Can anyone help us or guide us in going through it? Care for some tips how US Consulate here process the papers and conduct the interviews? Need some advice. Any experience can be of great help. :help: Thanks. God bless everyone!

  • 3 months later...

good day! im sorry i cannot answer your query.. i was just wondering how you went about changing consulates.

Im a filipina and my fiance is an american citizen. we are starting to assemble our I-129F package. and we're looking at this coming month of November.

at the same time, my employer just informed me that my SPASS has been approved and i start work in Singapore this Nov. 1. Im actually flying there this October 20 to process my documents.

my questions are:

1. Should I just write the Singapore US Embassy in Question 20 of the I-129F as my choice or

2. Should I just write Manila US embassy then change consulates at a later date? How did you do this process? Will it cause delay in the process?

hope u could help us.. thanks

Good pm. Sorry for the late reply re your concern. I've been busy for quite a while and that it was only now that I was able to read your concer. Anyway, I called the NVC right away, then when I learned that processing of my immigrant visa was already current(F3). I asked them if there was a possibility of changing embassies ( USE Singapore instead of US Embassy in Manila for interview). They instructed me to write them a letter of request stating the reasons for the change of Embassy and supporting documents that would help in deciding whether to grant the request or not. The letter should be addressed to National Visa Center. You can email them right away and then send a hard copy with your signature later. It took almost 3 weeks for them to reply through email. Hope this will help you in some ways. God bless you.
