It is in your permanent "A" file... when you submit your I-485, the USCIS will request your perm file and they will have it to use... as long as the exam was performed less than one year ago

YMMV

So I don't need to have another exam done?

All true BUT if your vaccines are not completely up to date (ie, the vaccination sheet that you got at the medical you did for K-1 is not checked "Vaccine history complete for each vaccine") then you will need to get them up to date and have a civil surgeon transcribe your vaccination record onto an I-693.

ROC

The thing is that how will I know what's on the medical report? the embassy took the sealed report away, I don't have them. no way to know what's on it, all I know is that on that report says I don't have any problems...should i just go to the CS again to be safe?

Did they give you any kind of vaccination worksheet? Sifa got one when he was done w/the medical exam. If not, I would try calling the doctor in Peru where the medical exam was performed to see if you can get a copy. If they can get it to you and everything is complete, great. If not complete then at least you have the records so they can be transcribed after you get your other vaccines!

You can try just sending in the other paperwork without any kind of medical, and hope that the vaccines are all up to date...worst case scenario is you get an RFE, have to go see the civil surgeon...but with no shot records they would have to give you ALL of the vaccines again, I presume, because they have no record of the shots you've already gotten.
