Nonimmigrant Visa number

Hi,

I was wondering if someone could tell me what the nonimmigrant visa number is for my K-1 visa when filling out the form i-485?

I have taken a look through the instructions but without success.

It's printed on the visa in red, usually in the lower right portion of the visa. It usually begins with a letter, followed by seven digits.

Some people have also used the control number, which is printed on the upper right portion of the visa. There are immigration attorney websites that variously recommend either the red number or the control number. Apparently, USCIS will accept either since you have to submit a copy of the visa anyway.

No it isn't. It's typically ALL numbers, all 8 digits.
