The Waiting Begins.....

Finally after months of preparation, I officially sent in our packet yesterday. I was lucky to visit my fiance for two weeks and got back Monday. Life is so weird without him. I got use to having him with me everyday. Now I am going to try and be patient until this goes through. I try to tell myself daily that this is what we had to do and that after this time in our lifes is over, we won't be apart again. Thank you to everyone for helping answer my questions over the last few months.....

I know exactly how you feel...

Being apart from my Melinda has been the most difficult time of my lif, but also the time of my life where I am really growing as a person.

What a paradox that we grow when we hurt so much! I have been going to see my wife every 6 weeks, just to cut the wait time into smaller parts. Honestly though, even waiting 6 weeks is torture, specially like right now as I have 2 weeeks till I see her again...I am really hurting.

I think all of us feel what you are feeling right now, that is why this web site is such a comfort and encouragement to all of us. Hang in there, this time apart will actually make you love each other and appreciate each other more than you can imagine. I'm praying for you that you will make it!

True, of course. But also because NORMAL processing times without the IMBRA fiasco and without security checks used to be around 2-3 months in CSC. Since they *seem* to have moved on to processing recent filers in the past few weeks, I wouldn't be surprised to see them back to faster, more normal approvals.

Vermont used to take less than a month - these days, who knows? But I think it's safe to assume that anyone filing now will be approved MUCH faster than those of us currently being tortured.

Probably true. But it will still be months before they get it all sorted out I think. But I find ironic (& maybe a bit amusing ) that VSC is almost at a standstill. VSC filers take it for granted they will be quick. Shoe's on the other foot now...
