How long did it take to get your visa? (Colombia)

Hi everyone!

Im just curious how long did it take for your to get your visa in hand after the approval? We were recently approved on June 9th and were told it would be 8 days to deliver it to Barranquilla. Just curious to see if anyone recieved it faster than the delivery time that was given.

Again I want to thank God all of you for your help in getting prepared for the interview!!!

Ours was delivered on 6/1, approved on 5/24 so 8 total days. The childrens were delivered about 3 days later

DOMESA always says between 2-3 days if it has to be delivered in Bogotá, and 6-10 if it's outside of Bogotá. Since they started the delivery process, they've pretty much nailed those delivery times. Also, remember that they are business days, so weekends and holidays don't count.

thanks for the Info.. I got over ambitious after the approval and ordered my fiancee's plane tickets for thursday. She was approved on the 9th and I thought it would be enough time for delivery but I guess not.. :angry: :angry:

I took a gamble and looks like I could loose this bet :(

Well I just got an update.. I e-mailed the embassy and come to find out that they havent even sent the package to Domesa yet!!!!!! It was approved on 6/9 and I was told they will be sending it this week. :o :o :o:angry: :angry: :angry:

My Fiancee is crushed because she was planning on leaving this week. :( :( :(

Advice to others.. dont buy your travel until you have the visa in your hand. The Embassy and Domesa are just unpredictable.

wow!!! but you could reschedule the flight?

We were able to reschedule the flight, but had to pay the $150.00 change fee per ticket. Basically it cost me an extra $300.
