The trip was so exhausting because of the bag and pan i have to work with and the crying and the pooping etc. They were much better coming home. We are heading to Fort Lauderdale in october, they will be 1 then so i welcome this trip. I want to go back home at xmas time. I love jam at xmas time. It's the only time i feel young and childlike again. Me as an old foot...

Ok could someone please summarize what's has been galanging with you all. I told you first, so...

hey . yes it has been eight mths and i do dread the walking phase. They are both crawling and david is raising himself up, which is something else because i have to keep taking him out of stuff and moving stuff around. Soon the house will be empty.

Lol. You have to keep putting stuff higher and higher? Double trouble!

cho...hubby a guh ave di girls dem unda lock an key til dem bout 30..watch

LOL..my hubby is going to be the same if we have a daughter. He didn't even want a daughter pretty much just for this reason. Now I atleast have him convinced a daughter won't be horrible. Plus your girls have an older brother. They are never going to date.

Good luck with that one! I have run into the same issues - They can fly with a layover in the US, but they have to get a transit visa - so far, I haven't been able to figure that one out.

Yea I almost booked a flight for my SIL w/o looking into the transit visa. Once I found out you needed one I said forget it. Life'sJourney posted the way to do it is Fly from JA to Cuba and then to Mexico. Don't know if you had seen that post or not.

$80/ one-way fare on Airtran, so 2 more trips to JA this year I'm so friggin happy right now

Wow!! $80 from DC area? Sweet! Airtran is having some good prices to JA. We booked for Christmas for $300 R/T including taxes. It had been looking at around $600 and that was too much. Jake'sWife what goes on at Christmas?? Or is it just spending time with your family and your traditions?

Hey Shanette- I see you down there.

Why is this board sooo slow? My last post was 5 hours ago. Where is the night shift?? We don't have any newbies do we? Any new interviews coming up? Just Bajan's foolish 2nd one?

Where's Sugar? I see there was a drug related shoot out in St. Thomas and it killed a cruise ship passenger on an exercusion to Coki Beach. I thought that was a laid back peaceful island. I guess there are people fighting over druges everwhere. Stay safe girl!

Mid week!!

I can't help with any good ideas for fun stuff to do in Jamrock cause everytime I go I'm thrown into running errands for my Aunties and being a local. LOL, walking to town is the highlight for me....kinda of sad cause I really want to do the touristie (sp?) things.

Hubby is trying to grow a garden on our balcony bless his heart and surprisly he is actually making things grow!!!! I'm super shocked cause Seattle sucks as far as weather goes. It rains all the time and our "summer" isn't until like August. Anyhoo he has string beans sproutin up!! OMG wow I'm totally amazed!! He also bought one of those Topsy Turvy tomato plants and girl its actually growing!! I think I've taken pics everyday cause I just can't get over the fact that the "garden" is coming along. Hmmm yea okay I'm done...

I loved it but of course the entire time I was there I was wishing I was in Jamaica! We went to the Pacific side and it was so different from the Caribean...black sand beach.

Morn Yardies,

I know its early, early in the morning here, 6:14am but Iam getting off momentarily to be home with my wifey. She is adapting well to the Alabama Southern life but jobs are hard to find for her now. I told my wife that she only been here for 4 months and to give it more time.

We are still waiting to hear from immigrations about filings for the our child in JA. My wife misses her daughter and I just cant wait to hear someting soon. Keep the child in your prayers always.

Hi myjamwifey, praying for you guys for a speedy arrival of your stepchild and also on your wife a job. Glad to hear that things are going well with you! Hang in there. (F)

Hey all!!

So, when I left Jamaica I ad two pieces of luggage. When I got to Atlanta, I only had one. When I got to DC, I had none!

Apparently my suitcase prefers Jacksonville to DC....

They messed up on delivery, so I ran out to Macy's and bought $70 of makeup which they can reimburse me for....

Went on my job interview today, went well in my opinion, but the office manager then said she would be letting people know by the end of this week or next week. She then said she was going email, which doesn't sound like I got it.

We'll see!! And please, NO PRAYING for me to GET it!

Girl you a mess. Keep us posted!

From what that list says, it's ok for Jamaicans to go to Mexico without a visa - I also found another site that had a treaty between JA and Mexico stating the same -

Thanks for the info Sus. Hope DJ is able to go.
