Take a deep breath

What was the reason ?

Have her write everything that happened down word for word action for action

Which of the CO's did she have ? Was it the Asian lady ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

1.The reason being that the relationship between the petitioner and the applican is for immigrant purposes only.

2.The CO is a white lady. She don't know where she comes from but looks like the description you have.

3.She was asked how we met and she told her.She was asked when I came back, what happened, she ws asked when last we communicated, she was asked how sure was she that I love her,she was also asked what we dissussed in our last phone conversation. However, she gave a perfect answer on all these questions. All the CO did was to give her back her documents and type the useless letter that"the application be sent back to uscis to be reviewed for possible revocation.

That's odd...cos they usually give reason for not approving application. My guess is the CO was not pleased with the way ur wife answered the questions. Did the CO ask to see phone records, chat logs or pictures?

Citizenship next step!

You're dealing with a difficult consulate to say the least. Get on the phone to the consulate and find out the exact reasons for the denial. Also, fight to keep the petition at the consulate. Laural Scott offers free chats on Wednesdays for immigration related questions scottimmigration.net you might want to ask her what to do at the very least

Otherwise, you can wait for USCIS to reaffirm the petition, at which point it will go back to the consulate for an interview, but you will still need to overcome the reasons for the denial so knowing exactly why it was denied is crucial. Or, you can withdraw the petition and file again

Good luck

Marc Ellis is probably more experienced with Nigeria and it's foolishness. Get in touch with your congressman and try to get the petition re reviewed at the consulate. Lagos is NOT apt to respond to phone calls. They let it ring and ring and then some one will answer and hang up before you get anyone on the line. Emails aren't much better but you may have some luck. If you did have the Asian lady ,she is known for rejecting first time applicants. How many trips did you make to Nigeria. Did you have pictures with her family ? How long did you stay ? How many proof of communication records ( mail/chat/phone ) did you have and for how long ? How many pictures and from how many trips ?

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I have an album of our court and traditional marriage ceremony. She also had western union money transfers, our joint account statement which we have been operating for about 9months,phone records of our communication for about 3years.I don't really know what else the CO wants from us.

At my congressman's office is only making calls and giving me conflicting responses. At the moment, the case is with uscis. They told me that they are in their review process. They said that they will communicate me in at least 120days from the date they received the I-130 from the nigeria embassy.

I don't really know what else to do nor expect.

I don't mind answering as many questions I can. Please feel free to ask me.Am very open to any question.

She went for her interview on the 10th of february 2010.I have travelled to nigeria 3times.One in 2006,two in 2008 when we did our court and traditional wedding. We were hoping to do our church wedding in 2009 when the US when she comes over, third was in April 2010 for our church wedding since they did not give visa.

We met in nigeria through my friend and since then we've been friends for over 2years before we got married.

However,USCIS got the application back on the 5th of apriland told me to give them at least 120days for their review, that they will write me as soon as they are finish.

Pls feel free to ask me any other question.
