Hello everyone, my mom petitioned for her sister to come live in America. We paid the $70 Affidavit of Support's fee, we will mail the I-864 tomorrow, and her sister mailed the DS-3032 two weeks ago. Does anyone with experiences know the average wait time until her sister get call for an interview? Thank you.

Information:

Petition for sister

Sister live in Vietnam

Priority date: Oct 2000

Her priority date is current and the case is being processed as we speak at NVC, so no more waitlinglist for the sister!

It'll take a few months to process the papers, but she should have her interview before the end of the year.

I must be missing something.. I thought sister made her 4th preference in the family visa category...01-01-01... Visa bulletin chart how would she be "current"? unless she was applying for an employment=based visa?

Because if you read the OP you can see her priority date is 2000 and she from Vietnam. I would hope that they're working from 2000 up, and not 2000 down therefore it reading 01-01-01 means the priority date for the OP has passed.. she is now "current".

Now Mexico and the Philippines are another thing.

Thanks for the reply. I have another question, after NVC receive the DS-3032 they will ask me to pay the IV bill and they will ask for the DS-230 next? I have to send with the DS-230, my mom and aunt's birth certificate, Marriage Certificate, passport, and Police Certificate? Only the birth certificate has to be original? Do they return the original document afterward? Also my aunt need to bring copy of the require documents to the interview too? Thank you.
