Hello fellow Mexico DCFers. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place. I am wondering whose name the comprobantes de domicilio should be in, mine or my husband's or preferably both? Anyone had any feedback on this? What worked or didn't?

Thanks so much!!!

Ariana

Hello.. Im still preparing my info to file the I-130, but the consular officer (monterrey, nl) told me the "Comprobantes de Domicilio" must be on my name (the US citizen)as a proof that I've been living in Mexico. But if they are in both names will help also with the proof of bonafide marriage.

Good Luck ! keep us posted of your journey ;).. will you file in Mexico City?

Hi Marisol. Thanks for your reply. Yes, I will be filing in Mexico City next week. I have to go for a graduation so we are going to turn our things in person.

I will keep you posted!

Thanks again!

Thanks LaGringa! I'm assuming no one on here has had there FM3/FM2 for less than six months right? I only got mine this may, though I have been here for 2 years with some other proof of residence here....just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation/heard of one. Hoping they accept our 130 now!!!

Hi..

Have you asked that to the Consulate?.. I dont have FM3/FM2 because I have dual nationality, but I think you better ask them.

Good Luck !
