Still Waiting for AOS Approval

Hey all,

My AOS application was sent in to the USCIS in Oct '09, they sent the whole package back to me (a week after we had submitted it)once because the payment couldnt be processed, we sent it back in and shortly after I got a receipt that my cheques had been cashed. Directly after that the USCIS sent me a notice requesting more information. Everything was sent back in asap. The date on my notice shows The USCIS received everything and begun processing in November. Total (from november until now) it has been 8 months. I Went for my biometrics in Jan, and Got another notice in Feb (5 months ago now) that my case was transfered to the CSC. In the mean time I got my AP, EAD and SSN. I check my case status online and it still says the exact same thing. So I went to check the CSC processing times last month and it said Sept 14 '09 (for the cases they are working on), this month it changed to/says 6 months. So if it changed from sept '09 to 6 months shouldnt that mean (since my application was submitted in Nov) that I should be getting my Approval letter/Green Card soon? Im a little bit confused. Anyone experiencing something similar. I know I have posted similar threads to this in the past, but I feel more comfortable adding my updates to see if it changes anything...If that makes and sense? lol. Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you given any thought to making an infopass appointment? (It might help to understand what exactly is going on with your case.)

It is an appointment where you can meet with a USCIS employee face-to-face (sometimes more helpful than calling). Doesn't have a fee.

Thank you for the information. I will definately check it out. I didnt realize that this type of service was available. I guess I've been out of the loop lately. I just found out recently that people can call too. Kind of embarassing. I feel like Im at a breaking point these days. I was also curious if the type of green card being applied for would make a difference? For example I have seen in some peoples status 2 year GC and others have applied for a 10 year GC to begin with...
