I wonder if the Police Department was even notified of the changes since it seems like agencies don't talk to one another. I can see the police now, wondering why so many people are showing up.... Gotta love JA.

I read about the police certificates on the embassy website yesterday and posted it in the yardie thread... all I could think is I KNOW bajan did not have that information

Yes my dad will do it but that is what is fustrating cause I called the NCV months ago and asked an this could have been avoided.

Question: Were you able to get the police certificate the same day, or are you required to return in three days?

One would think since they made this last minute change, they would excuse the three day waiting period and allow people to get their certificates the same day, WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY ADDITIONAL FEES.

I'm sorry that you had to go through all that drama. Was your husband interviewed? I don't know why the US is making every one suffer for a fugitive. Not all Jamaicans are criminals!!!! What if you didn't have the money to pay for another police record? Just know that delayed does not mean denied. Keep the faith.

Yes he was interview and finger printed and was told to call when he gets the doc and bring them back they never asked me anything ir ask to see any of our pictures or anything.

Not sure, is it set up like aparmtent numbers. So you are apartment 3b5 and he is apartment 3a5. I can't see it being a big deal, but not toally 100%. Sorry

no it is just up stairs and downstairs two totally different households.

Like I said I don't think it would cause a problem as long as you can show he has means to financially support the beneficiary and has financial evidence to prove it.

If you have the W2 and tax returns you don't need tax transcripts. I would also get a letter from his employer and pay stubs for the past couple of months that he worked, just to make sure.

The police record that the embassy is now requesting has nothing to do with the dudus matter.A few months ago it was revealed at the police records office that police officer are selling records to criminals, so person who goes to office with criminal records, get clean record for a price, one police officer was arrested, so u can't blame the embassy.

My thing is that they had to have know that is what they where going to require before all these people came for interviews and we should have been notified. It cause mass confusion at the police record place it was no fun standing in the hot sun for 5 and half hours.
