Hi all

I have read some posts on VJ about the time it takes for a Biometrics appointment letter to come, following the NOA's.

Quick update on my situation.

Its been exactly 49 days since the date of acceptance NOA's.

And still no further correspondance since then.

My application has remained at "under review" on the website for the entire 49 days. last touch 25 days ago.

I called them at 30 days, got a ticket number. Still no letter or communication.

I have an infopass appointment for tomorrow in Phoenix, as I will be at 50 days since NOA. (made the appointment 2 weeks ago online).

Do you think the infopass apponitment will help and does any one have any tips for an inofpass appointment .I kind of feel they will say. "give it another 45 days" and send me on my way..... because thats all I have been told when I telephone them.

many thanks

I had not received my biometric appointment 3 weeks after NOA.

Then right after that I received text/email notice which states that uscis were trying to send me some letters, but those letters were returned to USCIS office as the address was undeliverable.

I called 1800 number to change my address to PO Box, called 1800 number again 30 days after the NOAs were issued; the guy who answered my call was so nice and knowledgeable, he send the service request since I supposed to receive the bio letter within 30 days of getting NOAs issued.

I went to an infopass appointment to my local uscis a week after. The lady told me that my address was updated in the system, and I should get the letter within 2 weeks; but she could not schedule the bio appointment, since the Missouri USCIS has to do it.

I drove to my P O BOX after the infopass appointment, and got 3 bio appointment letters in the box.

If the customer service representative had sent the service request, you should get the letter within 2 weeks!!!

I think your infopass visit will help sending the service request again...

Good luck!

I was under the impression that you were supposed to receive your bio appointment within 30 days after the acceptance of your case. You really should make an infopass or get some sort of definite response by phone.

Have you moved?

Hi Ben

Read this below ....... This is my post from I'd June.......

I hope me detailing my info pass experience helps.....

After waiting nearly 2 months since receiving my NOA's- and not receiving an appointment letter for a biometrics, I decided to make an Infopass appointment. Making it online was a simple process.

My wife and arrived early hoping to be seen, however, security asked us to wait outside the building, and we could only enter 15 minutes before the appointment time. We had a 1 hour wait ahead of us. However, the security officer went off somewhere, then cameback and said we could go on in. That was good of her. We checked into one of the windows, and they gave us a number to watch for on the screens.

Withinn 10 minutes, the number came up. I explained to the officer that 2 months had passed etc.....etc.....and I had previously called the service number, and I had also advised the call center that my initial was wrong on one of the NOAs. He listened to this and then said, "take a seat, and I will investigate this ".

He called us back within 10 minutes, and said to us.

1. Your name is wrong on the NOA, if you have your passport I can change for you. he then changed it.

2. He then printed me an appointment letter for my biometrics, for the 12 th July.

All as simple as that, they managed to rectify the two things, that have been holding this up.

Lastly, and I think this is important, he said so many people don't come and check their status, and as a consequence, they miss the biometrics appointment, if the letter was lost somewhere. He then said this can cause all sorts of issues in the long run.

So my advise to all........

If you have not received your biometrics letter within 30 days, call service center and get a ticket number.

If you still don't receive your biometrics letter within another 14 days, make an info pass appointment.

It worked for me, but I don't know if I was just lucky with the officer....... I think being factual and prepared helped. They don't want to hear all about how you met, blah blah blah....getting to the issue in a precise and clear manner, was appreciated by the officer and he stepped unto the plate.

Thanks to all for helping me through to this nest stage.
