I received my (conditional) green card today - based on AOS for a K-a visa. My question is do I need to renew my EAD, I am working using the EAD but I am a little bit confused if I need to renew that because of the expiration date indicated.

NO... Your Greencard is not only your proof of residency but your PERMANENT EAD card.... Your expiring EAD card is now null and void
