Hello Everyone....I am hoping you good folks on this site will help me get some clairty on what happens next...this is my story..

I am married to a USC, we filed our paperwork at the Frankfurt Embassy in Germany as this is where we had been stationed. I received an e-mail from the Embassy last week stating that my 1-601 and re-entry to the USA had been approved, we filed our paperwork last June. I am currently deployed in afghanistan as a contractor for the US Army. the e-mail from the Embassy also states, that my medical examination will expire soon and I need to make a trip no later then midnight 24th June, or the other option is to redo the medical again in Frankfurt and get a new visa...this is the option I have opted for as I cannot make it out of here on time.

So my questions are...myself and my husband had a brief interview in Frankfurt when we turned in out paperwork. When I go to the US sometime in December, will I have another interview? I have been reading some posts about AOS? is this something I will aslo have to do? My husband is being deployed and won't be back in the states until mis April....if I have to go to this interview will a be allowed to go alone? Is there an interview at the Port of entry also once I take my trip to the US? How long do I have to remain in the US after I get there? I am only asking because my contracts down range with the US Army are for 6 months at a time? will this be an issue with Homeland security?? Is a US base outside the US considered US Soil???? how long will it take for the Green card to arrive, on my application form when we submitted it, we opted that I receive a SSN once the paperwork was approved???? should this automatically arrive in the mail.

I have a lot of questions, I know, but being here so far away...I want to make sure I have the correct informaton before making a decision.

Any advice would be greatly appriciated, as I have no clue even after reading all these posts, what the procedure is for applications approved outside of the US.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to reading some responses...
