Boaz im so sorry to hear about this. I feel so bad because of the baby. with me its happened as well but we didnt have children. i remember you helping with my situation when I first came on here. God will be there for you and the baby...he will never abandon you. You have a beautiful child to take care and believe me it gets easier everyday though it feels at first like you cant go on and that it hurts to even breath but time will help. its taken me 6 months to smile and laugh again and to know im better off with the louse. Id rather be alone and in peace with my dignity then living under the roof with a Godless weakminded liar to humilate me when my back was turned. So you hang in there...better times are ahead if you let them come. Just take the time to grieve and acknowledge the pain but dont let it keep you down. pm me if you want to talk more. much love. efia.

So sorry to hear this. I hope you have supportive family members and friends to help you through it all.

There were no signs or red flags? Was there pressure from his family back in Cameroon for anything?

Do you need to do anything to protect your finances or anything?

Now that I look back on things, he started becoming very distance right after the baby was born. This is also the time he received his Citizenship. When I have asked in the past 'what's wrong?', he told me that he was stressed out from school. As for pressure from his family back in Cameroon .... none that I know of. As for protecting my finances, I have taken care of matters. So I believe I'm fine.

ALL things work TOGETHER for GOOD!

I just want to thank all in the VJ family for rallying around Boaz during these difficult times. We all came here, initially, to either get or share immigration issues while sponsoring a loved one. Through that long process, many of us relied only on each other to get through the pain of separation and the challenges presented by gathering the paperwork. When our SOs arrived, we still counted on each other to help navigate the cultural differences or simply to better understand our SOs struggles while they adjusted to life in America. To me, VJ is one of the few places I know where our friends really can feel our pain. Thank you VJ family for being supportive to Boaz during this difficult time and thanks for showering her with your prayers. Boaz, know that I'll gladly help you with anything you might need to help ease the pain while going through this new phase of life.

Boaz,

I'm happy to see all the support for you here. This is a support site for those who go through the visa journey, sometimes that includes these sad events, you sound like you are endeavoring to see the positive through this and that clearly will be your strength. It is devestating for you, but I believe from reading your posts that you will not become bitter and you will use this to find the best life path for you. That is not easy, taking the day at a time, my heart goes out to you at this devestating time.

~ God is close to those broken and crushed in spirit ~

Wishing you the needed support and calm to recover and have peace.

Boaz & Perserverance my heart is heavy for you. The road has not been easy for most of us but the act of abandonment is the ULTIMATE form of hurt and despair. Divorce, separation whatever you want to call it can be likened to death, the loss of a loved one. One thing for sure is "Time heals all". I know that seems bleek right now but it does. Hang in there and trust in the Almighty to give you the "power beyond what is normal" so that you may continue to take care of yourselves and the baby involved. Sorry once again, somehow we are all connected in this road we chose to go down, even though most of us have never met.

Hugs!!

Boaz,

Those scriptures you quoted came to mind for me as I first had to face my scammer husband walking out on me.

I like you had a small child to care for at the time of my ex-husband exit. Please remember that things work together for the good

and more importantly; that faith without works is dead!!!!

All the best to you and your daughter I'll be in touch.
