Hello, i am going crazy...i lost my green card, SIN # and my citizenship card today at the airport. I missed my flight because of it. I lost it in canada. I was going to U.S . I called custom they said it is okay but it will take time to verifiy my status....how do I apply for my greencard? i am so lost and upset at myself. I don't know what kind of human being will take a wallet and not return it. there was only 50 dollars in there. take it but please leave the wallet somewhere.

Gosh, best of luck to you...

Hopefully the person that found it has a heart and will return it...

replacement gc is accomplished via filing form i-90 and paying the form fee + biometrics fee

YMMV

I'm so sorry this has happened. You must be beside yourself! You will need to apply for a new green card using form I-90. You will need to include some sort of police report (if you haven't reported it lost/stolen yet, do so now) and unfortunately, pay another fee. Here is the link to the application: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD

Here is how you can replace your SIN card: http://www.serviceca...apply/how.shtml

Here is information from Service Canada about what to do when a wallet is lost or stolen and includes instructions on how to replace a Canadian Citizenship card. http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/lifeevents/wallet.shtml

With any luck someone might toss the wallet aside after taking the money and any credit cards and it will end up back in your hands. I hope so.

Good luck!

Hello guys, i applied for my greencard after i lost it in june. I just did my biometric last week. they told me it might take 6 months to receive it. i asked if i will get 2 year conditional gc or will i get 10 year. she said it's 50/50. I was wondering if this has happend to someone else, and what kind of gc they got. thanks

you might want to see if you can do something about identity theft considering you lost your SSN# and now anyone can sell it to someone to use in america. I would not put it past someone doing that, even selling your green card. Iv heard of it before and see a lot of things on tv about that.

Hello, I did not lose my SSN number. In my wallet i had my canadian SIN. I only had my green card with me in the wallet. should i still be concerned?

Of course - the SIN could be put to bad use in Canada....did you contact service canada about replacing it?

You may want to get a Canadian credit report to esnure nothing is happening under your name since you lost it.
