Name on passport and GC are different

My wife is a french citizen with a GC. Her passport shows her maiden name and her GC shows her married name. It seems to be a pain to have our marriage recognize in Frnace and would probably require me to go over there. The whole thing is expensive and we're not sure we want to do that.

Is it a problem if she travels with her GC (maiden name) and french passport (married name) and a copy of our marriage certificate?

No problems at all. Best to buy air tickets using name in passport.

I can't find how to edit my own posts. Anyway, I must correct the following typo:

...her GC (married name) and french passport (maiden name)...

book airfare in passport name and carry the document that changed her name (marriage certificate?).... my wife has done this and is currently doing this as she is back "home" for the summer
