Hi Members,

I have a friend here in USA. He came from india 2 years back on B2 visa and he applied here on asylem status.He went for interview ,after 15 days he went to asylem office to know what they made decision but they gave him letter which says that your asylem application is pending. and now its been 1 years still pending.he got his work permit .what should he do now?how to solve this pending problem as soon as possible? do you guys have any idea? please give us some suggestion. thanks

Is not a 'pending problem'.

It's pending - still in review. It's not a problem, it's not over till it's over.

Has he moved since that interview? If so, the mail will not catch up with him, usually.

I'm sorry, I've no idea which national # to call, to check on case status, for this type of case.

You might want to check in with the Catholic Charities Group in his area, inquire for appointment for immigration assistance - USUALLY the ppl at CC will have better idea of how and where to inquire for case status.
