Your fiancee will need 3pcs of 2x2 photos with a white background for her medical at SLMEC. They will take a digital photo of her after she fills up her PDS form. Tell her to bring the email confirmation letter, passport and to take note of her Manila Case Number as well as the interview date because they will ask for it.

Good luck! :)

Toni

Good advice! And don't forget to: bring a pen, wear a jacket (it's cold in there), wear comfortable shoes (lots of walking up and down the stairs), and hide a snack in your purse (you will get hungry). Don't worry...manang guard won't look! :)

K-1ers do not file a DS-160. The USEM web site is misleading because their article about the DS-160 starts out by saying that everyone is required to submit one.

However, when you get down toward the bottom of the article about the DS-160, and you click on "frequently asked questions," you are linked to the Department of State page that talks about the DS-160. Read frequently asked question #13. K-1ers are one of the exceptions to the DS-160 requirement.

same thing what i said in number 13 in that NVC website???????

There is no fee for visa processing. The only fee after the interview is for Air21's visa delivery service. That will cost around five or six dollars.

The CFO will cost about twenty dollars.

delivery for you visa is a part of you visa processing!!! if you will not pay the AIR 21 fee, the visa will not come to you!!!! SO do you agree that AIR21 fee is a part of visa processing??????otherwise it will not arrive to you...just like when you buy something shipped to you....agree?

ALSO

Watch out everyone for those vendors outside the embassy they will try to sell you this BS160 I mean DS160 form outside the embassy at a premium price.

Hihihi.. You'r e funny Tahoma and thanks. :P

Hey, I recently got my medical and I seriously spent 98% of the time waiting so I was lucky enough to have a book in my bag! lol. (If you want to pass the time, bring a book, or a psp. I used my ipod for a bit but that just had me exert twice as much effort into hearing for my name to be called. lol.) Please do bring crackers. I was chewing gum the whole day! lol. I got to my medical at 6:20am the first day and finished at 4:40pm. I got delayed a tad cuz the nurse had to repeat my HR and BP. I was very cranky that day. :D lol. On my second day, I arrived at 7:20 for my 8am appointment. My name was called at 10:30, received my 2 shots at 11:30 and I was out of there by 12:30. It's rather chilly inside so listen to Tahoma and bring a jacket! And uhm... Keep the first and last date of your period in mind. Tahoma's right! Bring a pen with you and make sure it isn't a sign pen. Manang guard at the 5th floor is entertaining. :) If you have tattoos like me, be ready to get scrutinized even more during the physical for needle contamination. No biggie. ;)

Good luck with your journey! (Post at the Filipino regional forum so you'll get more specific help.)

No, I don't agree. The USEM processes the visas. Air21 simply delivers the visas. Air21 charges a delivery fee. It's as simple as that. However, you are welcome to define "processing" however you want to. I don't want to play word games. Why does this matter anyway?
