Well, it seems traditional for posters to announce even the smallest of milestones ("my case got a touch today!"), so I'll announce my wife and I went to the local USCIS office and did the biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for her 10-year Green Card. Assuming no unexpected issues, that should do it. No more USCIS for a long time!

I must say it went well and fast. In and out in 15 minutes. And the office was only about a 20 minute drive from home. I'd love to complain, but I can't say anything bad.

My wife just did hers for Naturalization and also reported nothing out of the ordinary. Biometrics seems to be a rather smooth and streamlined process.
