Playstation x XBOX

  1. 1. Would you do you prefer?

  2. 2. Do you think it's acceptable that parents curse constantly in front of 1 year olds?

    • It's unacceptable!
    • yeah sure, why not, let the child learn cursing, nobody will think it's the parents fault anyway
  3. 3. How about saying ''quit!'' to a 1 year old, acceptable?

    • It's unacceptable! They should use words like no, don't do that, and explain why they can't do that.
    • Sure why not, treat them like dogs, who cares. The world doesn't need more polite people.

Xbox

There are more games available - and since you can stream Netflix, the Blue Ray on PS3 doesn't seem as important - I can't remember the last time I put in a DVD rather than just picked what I wanted to watch from the Netflix menu.

And I think you can say "Quit" to a child without treating them like a dog...so I abstained from voting.

are you sure about that? I heard that most of the PS1 and PS2 games will work on the PS3

The first PS3 units allowed you to play the old games from previous machines but they stopped doing this, you have to buy the games from the online shop instead, at least you don't have to worry about the disks scratching! Some XBox games you can play on the 360 also.

At the beginning of these new consoles Microsoft was able to secure quite a few exclusive titles for just the 360 (such as Mass Effect), but after their problems and the PS3 price drop (and so on) they were able to gain traction and now most of the games are made for both consoles.

Cursing in front of a 1 year old? any CPS issue ? Goodness !!

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Why not consider the Wii? It's a great system for all ages.

i'm old fashioned, i don't like Wii.

PS3 all the way

Specially with Netflix you can even get some HD quality on some of the movies if your internet access is over 3MBPS.

Kids learn fast, they learn by examples so you should always watch what you do and say around them.

that's exactly why I'm looking into it. Actually netflix is compatible with the 3 of them, Wii, PS3 and Xbox.

Xbox is better than PS3. I have both. I play Xbox every single day. I never play the PS3!

I just bought the new Xbox 360 slim model with built-in wi-fi and Kinect ready, it's amazing.

And the quality of the online gaming is equivalent to what you pay, in my experience. Xbox Live does cost, but there are always huge sales on it so it's worth the price.

The Netflix on PS3 is not as well implemented as on the 360. It works, just not as well.

I've got a ps3 (backwards compatible version), two 360s, and a wii. My PS3 sits mostly idle minus a few downloadable games that are worth the money. My wii sits and grows dust even moreso. My 360s get nearly daily use with Netflix, disc and downloadable games.

How does the Netflix work on Xbox 360? What are the fees. Never used it for watching movies but seems interesting....

No fee besides your xbox live gold membership (which price can vary depending how you buy it-- Monthly, Yearly, etc; I personally wait until there are sales on the year membership cards you find at Target/Amazon/etc), and your Netflix subscription costs.

So, if you already have Xbox Live Gold, and already subscribe to netflix, all you do is download the file on your xbox and input a code, and you're golden. :)

It sounds like PS3 is going to have streaming Netflix by end of the year, so that's a nice move forward on their part.

I currently have both a PS3 and an Xbox 360, moving to the states, I am looking to sell my Xbox this weekend and keep my PS3 games, move them over with me and buy a new console out there.

So with that said...PS3 please!
