Well, I head back to the US tomorrow & this afternoon the embassy called  They asked him to bring his passport & come Monday at 3pm, and to tell them to let him through to speak to the Counsular....not sure what that means. He said they are supposed to let him in the back (not just where they do the interviews at the windows)...Anyone have any experience with this??? Why would they have him come in the back?? So glad we got a call before we left...makes me feel a little better...they didn't call & say denied & they did say bring the passport...still haven't said approved, and bring your passport so we can get u your visa...i know...never happens that way, but i can dream :) So it will be a weekend full of wondering again...atleast i will be busy with flights...and by the time i wake up on Monday Inshallah Hicham will have some good news!!!

Monica....HOPEFULLY this will be the news you both have been waiting to hear! It almost sounds like they still have a couple unanswered questions (because to continue interview in the back and in a room) but at same time BRING your passport implies they are leaning toward APPROVAL. I can imagine you both have been sitting on pins and needles with the waiting. I wish you both the best of luck..Try to focus on each other and enjoy your travel and weekend....Have a SAFE flight!......Fingers are crossed for you guys....Lisa

Salam

my wife had 2 interviews and yes the last one was in the back. he may get another interview from a diffrent person or maybe the same one. my wifes second interview was much longer and more intense. he need to make sure that he doesnt change any of his answers from the first time. this will be the final test. so it is either yeh nor nay. and after it is said and done...he can ask f he will get his visa. inshallah they will say yes.

Monica,

I'm wishing you guys the best also.

We got a "bring your passport" call recently as well, but have since found that there is yet another delay. And, the "drop off your passport" didn't mean so we can give you your visa automatically.

Once visa is in hand (or possibly when he's landed safely in the US), I'll post a review of our experience with

Casa consulate. It's been a doozy!!

It's maddening, frustrating, etc, etc, etc.

Have a safe trip home. Any thought about delaying your flights to see what happens Monday?

Keep us posted Monica! Someone also started a "hoping not to be denied by casa" thread also.

It must have been so difficult to have had to leave him there, knowing good news was potentially so close! Hoping you get a wonderful wake up call with good news!
