My fiance is self-employed, as most africans are. He sells carvings on the road. Will this affect our ability to qualify for the K-1?

It will not effect your Affidavit of Support. Is he from Nigeria? If so, keep in mind that the Lagos consulate among others has been known not to accept co-sponsers for the K-1. I don't know if this is your situation, just thought I would mention it.
