CFO Seminar in Manila

Finally, I got my answer.... I tried to make reservation for my mom's seminar thru online and the officer confirmed my reservation after 2 days. I e-mailed him to asked if my mom needs a seminar since she is 63 years old and here's his reply:

"Please be informed that those who are 60 years old and above and those who are 12 years old and below are exempt from attending any of our seminars. They are still, however, required to register with the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO). The following are the registration requirements you need to bring to CFO for registration:

• Original valid passport;

• Original and photocopy of visa;

• One (1) 2x2 or passport-size photograph;

• Photocopy of Immigrant Data Summary (IDS);

• Duly completed registration form (downloadable at www.cfo.gov.ph); and

• Payment of PhP 400.00 registration fee.

We wish to inform you their registration is a walk-in first come first serve basis. You do not need to set an appointment. For further clarifications, please call us at (02) 562-3848 or (02) 561-8321 loc. 201-203.

So my mom is exempted from the seminar. Hope this will help other parents who will immigrate in US.

dang...my mom is only 59, she won't turn 60 until this coming Christmas.
