It's not very often I get veered away from my trusted Subways tuna sandwich. I saw an advert for the spicy chicken sandwich and decided to give it a try. I tried it yesterday for the first time and I like it so much that I had it again today. This sandwich has just the right amount of spiciness that kind of makes you want to cry but it doesn't make you cry. There's something to be said about the way they wrap this sandwich. Hot piece of spicy chicken is layered between buns and stuffed inside a heat-resistive pouch. Steam from the hot chicken makes the bread warm, but, sadly, also soggy. They must find a different way to wrap this polio piece of perfection. Chick-Fil-A sandwich has a unique texture. It feels like someone took blended chicken pulp and forced it through some mechanical device to for the meat grain and then used goat cartilage to form the breast of the chicken. This disruptiveness is overcome by the spicy flavor. It sounds so disgusting yet it tastes so good. I'm very conflicted.

Today at the Chick-Fil-A, they had school children shadowing the fast-food workers. -laughs- The kids were giving out something in platter to everyone that came to the drive-thru window. I was pretty excited to get something watching all these people get it. When I came to the window, they didn't offer me whatever they were offering everyone else. Had I more time I would've liked to figure out why they didn't offer me this but offered it everyone ahead of me and the one person behind me. I'm probably not going back there again.

Really? Wasn't it just last week that Taco Bell was giving you the runs?
Yes. Once. And I regretted it.
I thought it sucked.

And the best tuna sub is at Quizno's. Common knowledge.

I will agree that it sort of sucks. By this is by far the spiciest sandwich I've eaten from a fast-food chain. I like the spiciness. But the meat feels funny. Like I said it feels unnatural. I'm not going back for that again.

I will try Quizno's when I can at your suggestions.

Unknown chicken parts that are pressed together has a tendency to do that.

Yup - they've patented the process, and then decided to market it commercially, under the trade name 'Chick-Fil-A'. Pardon, this is common knowledge to most USCs who were raised in USA with a Chick-Fil-A in their town.

If you don't want the goat cartilage, try just the regular sandwich.

what city are you in ? you need to find vietnamese fast food pho shop, have a sandwich and bowl of pho. Forget USA-branded chains - get some pho !

True. Each strands or grains of the meat seems to come off too easily. It should be a little more resistant. And if you inspect each of the strands, it doesn't look like natural meat.

actually chik-fil-a uses real chicken meat not minced chicken...
But it doesn't feel real to me. Maybe I've eaten so much fake meat, I think the fake is real; real is fake.

I had a much better experience when I tried the sandwich during their preview period last week. Was actually the best Chick-Fil-A sandwich I've had in years... Used to love it, then it just got old... this gives me a reason to go there again from time to time.

Why do you care? Wouldn't you drown it in a gallon of mayonnaise anyway?

Yeah, that mayo and cocoa puff recipe you gave me was awesome thanks.

But the meat feels funny.

That's what I once said to a boy who tried to pass himself off as a virgin.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.
