Soon we will be starting a 12 step program for us addicts.....

I didn't check that often until I was getting close to the estimated approval time and the rfe thingggy...

Now, every hour or more, but when I am out of the office and return, the first thing I check is the website. When i wake up in the morning with the coffee brewing, I check the status also..... Thinking enough time has passed, maybe I will see an early christmas present.

7-08-06 Received RFE - IMBRA - Date 6-23-06 and Postmarked 6-27-06

7-08-06 Stopped by Border Securtiy on NCIC name hit - Identity Theft two years ago and theif used my name as an alias which is now permanently tied to his criminal file as an alias - Border Security very helpful and understanding and apologetic about the situation but they have to verify I was not the perpetratpr.

7-10-06 Sent RFE

7-11-06 Received by CSC

7-19-06 Touched e-mail stating received 7-19-06 (BS)

8-03-06 Wondering ####### is taking so long - 128 days now

8-21-06 Congressional Inquiry

You are new, but some of the newer went faster than us older ones/// no rhyme or reason. welcome to our world. I seem to now live on VJ. my mail is set to alart my cell if I get an email from uscis. I still check the mail constantly as well as the site....IN CASE it updates and the mail is on a lag....yep the strongest type of addiction.

3/11/06 - 3/26/06 Visited my baby in the PI's

3/29/06 - K1 packet recieved at NSC

6/01/06 - Redirected to CSC

6/14/06 - CSC e-mailed confirmation on the reciept of file

6/23/06 - They they sent the IMBRA RFE

7/03/06 - The emailed that the IMBRA RFE went out on 6/23/06

7/03/06 - I received IMBRA RFE

7/05/06 - Touched

7/06/06 - Delivery Confirmation from the Post Office RFE recieved

7/11/06 - Email notification from CSC that IMBRA RFE Recieved

7/12/06 - Touched (but was to respond to an email that only said 'request recieved and will be processed within 30 days. argh)

7/13/06 - Touched

NOA2 September 11!!!

10/18/06 - Received at Embassy

12/23/06 - Recieved package with interview/medical schedule

01/08/06 - CFO interview/(pre-departure class) Complete

1/11/07 & 1/12/07 Medical complete

2/7/07 (2/8/07 manila) - Informed we are approved...3 days after interview.

I guess, it is a normal "addiction." But you don't need any treatment for this addiction, as it goes away after your case is approved.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview

Thanks for your reply and encouragment but i should confess, I just went to USCIS.GOV and checked my status :whistle: YES I caught the USCIS disease! I hope it's like a cold and I can get treatment :hehe:

Dec. 24, 2006 - Said arrives in NOLA, just in time for the holidaze!

Dec. 31, 2006 - OUR WEDDING!!! Ringing in a New Year as husband & wife!

Jan 8, 2007 - applied for SSN

Jan 15, 2007 - recieved SSN

Feb 6, 2007 - checks cashed for AOS/EAD/AP - YAY!

Feb 8, 2007 - NOA1 on AOS/EAD/AP

Feb 14, 07 - touched EAD/AP

March 8, 07 - Biometrics appt in NOLA

April 17, 07 - AP approved

April 19, 07 - EAD approved

Oh not in all cases, got my NOA2 this weekend and still finding myself going to that damn site and checking. Became a habit over the last 5 months. Now I am all set to bug NVC until they tell me it is on the way to the embassy!!!!

Your case can be touched at any time. However, do not despair if you don't get one for a period of time.

Read through the board, you will come to realize that you will see "touches", a few weeks go by, nothing.

Then BAM, approved. Be confident, in that you were touched early on in your process, which is a very good sign.

Ive seen posts where members are asking at what time of day might I be touched by USCIS!!!! Is this realy something new now I have to be concerned about? I mean, Now I have to check hourly or ?

ok, i have a confession....i log in to the uscis site 1st thing in the morning, and i don't log out for the entire day, i just repeatedly refresh it every 10 seconds :blush: . ok, ok, i know, m addicted, but all i want is 1 touch, just 1, then i'll only check 50 times per day after that :blink:. do i need :help: or is it already too late for me? i want a touch! :crying::lol::lol::lol:

I never thought I would be so obsessed with something. It has really distracted me from my work. As soon as I see an NOA2 I have no idea what I will do with myself. Maybe try to be productive and learn a new project? who knows....for now its check email, check the uscis, and jump into and read some crazy thread killing time while i keep looking to see if someone else may have gotten an approval to convince me they are working up there.

When I try to refresh it doesnt allow me to.
