Hi all,

It's not very clear how much I have to pay the embassy the day of my interview. The paper they sent me says "91.70€ mandat compte, obtainable from a French post office and payable to the US Embassy account 2006L"

however, the 91.70€ is strikethrough and "287" is handwritten in the margin without the sign Euro.

So do I have to pay 287€ by mandat compte? I would like to be sure. I live in France, don't they accept French cheques?

Thank you for your help,

have a good day,

Sun

effective June 4, 2010 the fee went from $131USD (91.70€) to now $350USD ($287€). You will pay 287€

I might be wrong but I think they only take cash or credit or debit cards. Good luck to you!

That is the same for me; I just paid this morning at the post office 287€ You must pay that only by money, no check nor credit card.
