I recently sent this off to the Malaysian embassy because I had questions about the "Oaths" the response is below. does anyone have a better way to word my question. Can we only do the long version and how does one go about getting the "oaths"

I copied the following paragraph off of a website that helps people like me prepare for our interview. I would like to know if what is stated here is correct and if not what does my fiance(e) have to provide to satisfy the requirements for this portion of her embassy interview?

- WITH EFFECT FROM 3RD MARCH 2008 PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT ALL APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT COULD BE PROCESSED WITHIN A DAY AND THE CERTIFICATE COULD BE ISSUED ON THE SAME DAY OR AT THE LATEST BY THE FOLLOWING DAY. UNDER NEW DELIVERY SYSTEM, APPLICATION FOR CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT MUST BE ACCOMPANIED WITH A STATUTORY DECLARATION ATTESTED BY A COMMISSIONER OF OATHS.

(MARCH 2009 UPDATE: THE US EMBASSY WILL NO LONGER ACCEPT THE ONE DAY CERTIFICATE OF GOOD CONDUCT, APPLICANTS WILL NEED TO APPLY FOR THE LONGER CERTIFICATION PROCESS OF 1-2 MONTHS)

Hey FloriannsMan, I'm sorry that you didn't know about this earlier. In Malaysia the "letter of good conduct" is the "sijil kelakuan baik", which can be applied for via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. You must go to the website (click here) and look for the form yourself, or download the "letter of good conduct for foreigners" (click here). (If I'm not wrong, your fiancee is not Malaysian, hence the letter of good conduct for foreigners). Then, fill in the form, prepare the necessary documents, get them notarized by a Commissioner of Oaths, and send them to the Ministry. They will send you the letter of good conduct after one to two months. This is due to the police checks and such.
