how to asked for refund at national visa center

hi eveyone is there anyway i could asked for a refund at the national visa center?because here's my situation my son had been interview today at the US embassy in manila philippines( w/c got approved thanks GOD!) his guardian already showed them the receipt that i already paid the immigrant visa fee of 400$! but still the embassy people keep insisting they dont have any record? so they did contact the NVC during those time but unable to reach them then threatened my son's guardian to reshedule another appointment if they dont paid the 400$ so to avoid any further delays they just paid the fee and asked me to contact NVC to get my refund so guys is their anyway or steps to follow so i could get that refund?

Did you keep a record of the cover sheet of the IV bill when you paid -- as proof? There was a 'print receipt' AND 'print coversheet' option, I distinctly remember.

How about your bank statement? It should show $400 as debited.

hi sachinky thanks for your reply yes i did i send everything to my son's guardian everything weeks before my son's interview and still the people in the preprocessing section insist they did not receive anything and made my son and his guardian wait for 3 hours!(my son is only 1 year old) just to tell them they cannot confirm anything to the NVC and suggested to avoid delays just to pay the fee so is their anyway i could demand a refund?what are my chances then?

try calling the NVC and see if you cannot speak with a supervisor or something?

print another copy of your receipt email? forward the receipt email to the embassy???

that document should be enough....

oh thats really bad if its nonrefundable oh my embassy in manila philippines are really worse there rude cant believe those people and they are pinoys tsk tsk ill try to send them all the bills again hopefully i could get something and the bad thing about that is their call center tsk tsk paid 18$ just for 3calls and all they full of ####### i called them 1 week before and told me eveything is fine and bills to pay oh well at least my son got his visa, maybe all i could do now is file a complaint to that employee in window 24 anybody here had an interview with this pinay at window 24?she's really rude according to my mom-in-law imagine making my son wait for 6 hours!damn this got to stopped:(

and the embassies that make you pay money to call are terrible.

but try your best to get a refund if you need it! $400 is a lot!
