What sucks about WIMAX?

The technology and frequency it uses is just not good for buildings. I have read of people having to open their window to get over 1 mb. LTE 4G on the other hand, which verizon and co will roll out, uses a TV frequency which can penetrate almost any object. Verizon is scheduled to launch that this year. Actually they just had a trial in Boston of it - no kidding.

Wimax = 2.5 GHZ

LTE = 700MHZ

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Yeah, 2.5 GHZ is not going to penetrate buildings too well and the area covered per site will be smaller too. Verizon does own the better spectrum. All of Sprint's and Clearwire's is on the higher end.

I had read that Boston will be one of the trial markets for LTE.
