Iphone 4 or Evo

Anyone decide to purchase either of the two?

While I would like to try an iphone, no way in the world am I joining AT&T. They actually couldn't pay me to use their network.

The other downside is that I cannot stand Itards. Furthermore, what the hell is Microsoft doing? Why are they allowing apple and google to dominant them while they do nothing?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Have you checked out the Evo yet? It's quite impressive. It has a nice big screen so even us old timers can see it easily. It is larger than the iPhone and is easy to hold. I think the touch screen is as good as the Apple. Sprint's network is probably much less taxed than AT&T's, so if Sprint has good coverage in your area, you'd probably be ok. I really wish it was on the Verizon network, I'm still afraid to move to Sprint. Their past reputation still plagues them.

I did until you mentioned the forced $10 extra for 4G, even if you have no 4G coverage. Though, this is no different to AT&T doing the same with the first 3G iphone.

Why is apple so stupid to ignore a potential 93 million customers? Not to mention T-mobile or Sprint.

I am still puzzled why Microsoft is doing jack ###### with their phones.

Apple offered the iPhone to Verizon first, but Verizon wouldn't agree to the terms and conditions that they dictated. AT&T did. It's Job's way or no way. He really is a control freak with his products.

Sprint charges an extra $10 for the Evo whether you're in a 4G area or not, but you still get unlimited data. If you sign up now for AT&T, there is no longer unlimited data but existing customers are grandfathered. I don't think that the new iPhone raises the bar over the Evo and the upcoming Android phones. And Android 2.2 is just around the corner and it's supposed to be a big step up from the current software. I would really suggest you play with the Evo for a while instore and see how you like it.

The same thing they've been doing since 2004 - standing still.

Frankly you should consider either the Droid, or Droid Incredible. Google's OS kicks serious back side. And you get The Network!

I just don't get their strategy. They are clearly suffering from a case of hubris and still gloating over their 90's success. Microsoft is now the new IBM, while google is the new Microsoft. This decade will belong to Google. Microsoft will end up an IBM; possibly even merging with them.

truth be told, apple, considering the market they are in, could fail miserably in an instant with just one fumble. they are akin to a pop star really since they have to continuously strive to give the "impression" that they ahead or better than a lot of other products. what happens to apple when steve fumbles a little or decides to step away? this kind of momentum is very difficult to maintain over the long haul even if steve stays put. as time passes, all these products will get a lot cheaper too.. apple's stock is good now, but long term i'd be afraid of it.

ms pays a dividend so market cap means very little here.

MS is Morgan Stanley. Microsoft is MSFT.

Their dividend is not very impressive, 50c/$25 stock, barely a 2% yield.

2 percent compounded over 6 years is what, 13 percent?

I read sprint is going to throttle their 4G speeds; which aren't that fast to begin with. WIMAX sucks.
