My co sponsor is afraid of thief info in the mail sending their original tax transcript or tax returns, W2, paystub either of the 2.

For the security of any papers, send them via Fed Ex or DHL.

We know that when have tax transcript no need for paystubs , emp cert .

I strongly disagree with you. Because you need to provide more information than a tax transcript, and since there is no guarantee that the USEM will accept the cosponsor, the petitioner needs to build a strong financial case for both the petitioner and the beneficiary. The petitioner needs to include an I-134, copies of their income tax returns from the past three years, income tax transcripts from the past three years, W-2 forms from the past three years, paycheck stubs from the past few months, an employers letter, and even a bank statement to show cash on hand and savings. The petitioner should submit all of this regardless of which side of the 125% poverty line they fall on. I believe that it is very important for the petitioner and the beneficiary to build an even stronger case if they are flirting with the 125% poverty line.

Are there among here who did this sending originals tax returns? Does the consul really ask for the original tax returns of the co sponsor because those infos are all there the SSS # and everything...Pls help. It is not possible, and it is not required to submit an original income tax return. This is because the IRS keeps the original when you send it to them at tax time. The petitioner must send copies of their income tax returns. As for income tax transcripts, submit the originals after making copies for yourself. And yes, when an income tax return or an income tax transcript is sent to the USEM, the USEM will see the cosponsors income tax information as well as their social security number.

I suggest that you read this thread about cosponsors that Pinay Wife dug up.

Ok thanks for all your respond. I have all the copy of his paystubs and GC that he emailed me and i printed it just incase i will still be needing it. He had an annual income of $106,000.00 year 2009 and we are total of 4 so i think he is over the poverty guideline?

He said he will just send IRS Tax transcript for 3 recent years (2007,2008,2009)via fed ex as i told him it will be safe if reputable courier will handle it. Do i still need to show his paystubs and Certificate of employment when already have IRS tax transcript? How about 1040 filed this year that is for next year?

I would take to the interview everything I listed above.

Hmmm...I'm not sure why you were talking about a co-sponsor if the petitioner makes $106,000. per year.

Also, the 1040 which the petitioner filed this year is for 2009.

Thanks...now I understand...the co-sponsor makes $106,000.

The 1040 that was filed this year applies only to income earned in 2009. I don't believe there is a 1040 form (filed this year) that applies to 2010 or to 2011. Anyway, the USEM cares more about the petitioner's recent income...their income from the past year. They also care whether the petitioner has a stable job and other factors.

You need to build a strong case which shows the USEM that you will not become a public charge when you are in the U.S. Some of the factors in their decision may include the petitioner's income, assets, job stability, education, upward mobility, and the beneficiary's education and likelihood of getting a job in the U.S.

Good luck!

Every single tax document i sent to the Philippines was scanned and printed, but before i scanned the documents, i made sure that every page did not expose my ssn or bank account info. when i printed out the copies, there was no trace of my ssn or bank routing number to be read or identified. my wife had no problems submitting these documents for the support part of our paperwork.

My co sponsor is afraid of thief info in the mail sending their original tax transcript or tax returns, . . . .

My wife is afraid of spiders. That doesn't mean I can kill 'em all, or even attempt to do so. Sometimes living life and doing what needs to be done requires to take a little risk. Whether that's encountering a spider or losing an envelope in the mail is the same difference. If one in 100,000 envelopes gets lost or stolen, chances are pretty slim that it will be yours.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

President Teddy Roosevelt on Columbus Day 1915
