I got an email last June 4 and June 9 - Current Status: Card production ordered for my EAD.

I might be wrong, but does this mean the card has been mailed and it's on its way? Another thing too is can this be a legal document to be able to start working? I know it's the company's prerogative but is the email supposedly the soft copy while the card itself is the hard copy. Kindly correct me if I'm missing something.

Thank you.

Reunited for good and it feels so good!

No. You must wait for the actual card. You can start LOOKING for work, maybe even they'll let you start on the promise of the card, but sometimes the card takes a while, what if it gets lost in transit? I would wait for the card.

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to " Working & Traveling During US Immigration" as this is relating to working prior to getting your GC**

I received 3 notices for EAD,the last notice said 'We mailed your EAD card'.

It took 9 days from second EAD notice to receiving EAD card for me.

You may be able to negotiate with employee, talk about your situation,

but you can't fill out document without EAD & SSN which employee must obtain from you.

So I think you'd better to wait the actual card.
