Hi guys!

I came to the U.S. with a K1 visa. I didn’t fill out the papers for AOS yet. My fiancée, me and her parents moved so our address is not the same any more. What do I have to do now?

I want to write down our new address for all necessary AOS papers including I-864. Therefore I will not need to send in I-865 (sponsors notice of change of address).

Do I just have to fill out the AR-11 document?

My fiancée is my sponsor and her dad my co-sponsor. Do they also have to fill out the AR-11 document? Is it the same exact document, cause on the left corner it says : “Alien’s Change of Address Card”

Should I send out the AR-11 documents before or after I send in the papers for AOS?

Thanks for the help

Michael

Personally to be safe I sent the online AR-11 only then on all the AOS papers, which I sent AFTER i sent the AR-11, I put my new address. I have had no issues with mail and doubt I will **knock on wood**

do I have to notify the change of address for everyone (myself, my fiancee and her father (co-sponsor))???

Well that depends.

If your K1 was like mine (some countries are difft) where you completed an I-134 at the K1 stage, then no. Only the immigrant needs to change their details.

If you've already filed an I-864 then yes, they will need to send an I-865.

But from your OP it seems that you haven't sent the AOS stuff yes with the I-864's so I would just make sure the i-864's have the new addresses for the sponsors and co-sponsors. And then I would do an online AR-11 before filing the AOS stuff for the immigrant.

Make sense?
