Hello everyone,

I know there are many topics about this form already but for some reason I can't seem to find the exact information I am looking for.

My husband and I moved to a new place and I need to fill out the AR-11 form (and he needs I-865). I'm a permanent resident. On AR-11, I have to enter my port of entry and the date I entered. I first arrived to the USA in 2008, but since then I went back to France for a week last year (2009). Are they asking about when I got here with my K1 visa (2008) or the last time I entered the USA (2009)?

Thank you!

Cecile

No, I am using the form to send by snail mail. I wasn't sure if I could use the online one because in the instructions it said:

If you have moved, you need to follow two different steps:

* Step 1: File a Form AR-11 (This changes your address in our master database.);

* Step 2: If you have a pending case, you must also file a Change of Address online or call our National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283. (This changes your address for the specific application you have submitted.)

The online one seems to be only when we have a pending case, which I don't have (got GC a year ago, don't need to fill out anything else for another year). So, to me, it sounds like I need to do Step 1, i.e. file the regular form.

Or am I misinterpreting it? Do you think I should just do the online one?

yes you can use the online one.. all Step 2 means is that if you do have a pending case, the snail mail form won't change your address on your pending application
