Does my co-sponsor's wife has to fill up 1-864A ? My brother is my only co sponsor and his wife and him are joint in ITR, does his wife still needs to fill it up? If yes does she also needs to attach her ITR's W2?

Second question, My brother has 6 dependents on his ITR year 2008 but on year 2009 he has only 4. So the 4 dependent is what he should write on his 1-864 (thats including me counted) and don't bother on 2008 dependent am i correct?

Pls help on these they just requested tax transcript hope that wont take too long, my interview will be on july 01. Thanks and i will appreciate your responds....

You should send the last three years of transcripts. The dependents should be what was listed on the 2009 tax return.

The I 864A is where it gets a bit more complicated and where I have a little bit of doubt as well. From what I understand, when it asks the co-sponsor for his/her income, he/she should put what his/her actual income was and not the income of his/her spouse, ASSUMING that he/she makes enough alone to get above the 125 percent. The co-sponsor would send in his/her W2s, showing how much he/she made. The spouse would not have to fill out a I 864.

However, there was a case recently in Argentina (everything had gone through NVC just fine) where, at the interview, they asked for a I 864A from a spouse, I think because they were worried that the spouse was unaware or something like that. So maybe it would be a good idea to have her fill out a I 864 to take to the interview, just in case.

Please correct me someone if I have misunderstood things.

Thanks for the info. My co sponsor makes $106,000.00 annual so he is over the poverty guideline rqmts. Do they need to send the original tax transcript over here in the philippines because they are afraid of the thief info it already happened to their dad. Can they just email it and then i will print it? We are DCF NVC not involve thanks ... :)

Sorry about the NVC thing...I wasn't paying attention. They have to be original...I doubt that the IRS emails them. Have your co-sponsor call them and ask for the LONG version, which has W2 information, etc. Did you get robbed through the mail? The only option, in that case, might be to UPS or FedEx them. I'd be a little nervous sending all of my personal information overseas.

Hi Indy90...They just requested from IRS a tax transcript yesterday i hope it will make it before july 01 my interview. Their dad had experienced the ID was robbed in the mail, they say it happen the thief info so they are being very careful. I told them to send it through fed ex, Lbc or DHL. So when they send the IRS tax transcript, do they still need to send the paystubs and employment certificate? thanks....
