Thank you all for the information. I have found it depends on the city and how organized you can be on the timeline, but then again, everything is ever changing there too. We are praying for a two week turn around. IF not, then I will have to leave and return and that is going to be costly.

In Casa, did you already have the copy made of your passport or did they do it?they did it at the consulate

Is the stamp needed more than just in Rabat? there was a stamp needed in Fez also

Did anyone else have to have an Arabic to English translation? it was English to arabic

I already have the paper who receive in Casa, although it doesn't take anytime. Is it true your time is spent in Rabat and waiting for the courts in the city you will be married?no. Time in Rabat was at the Ministry of Just and the Foriegn Ministry, Total was less than 5 hours.

I am hoping we can do this in October or November so I am trying to get it all together.

Exactly what needs to be translated? I have heard everything and then I heard only some things.anything in English has to be translated to arabic

we married in about 3 weeks but everyday is full and busy, i would have to go back and look up all the papers required, but send as much ahead as u can and let them already have it translated once there he needed my drivers license and u have to give them the statement concering your religion, there was a back groud, a statement from my job and bank best i can remember birth certificate, i just dont really remember all. i rmember one trip to casa and 2 to rabet and a friend had to sneak one of the papers in or we would still be standing there waiting, same in the city courts if you dont know someone if will take forever and be prepared to pay a little extra for the services

My husband lives in Casa and we were married there. We were married within two weeks. Obviously, it's a shorter drive from Casa to Rabat than from Fes to Rabat. And, I'm not aware of the 30 day waiting period in Casa that they seem to have in Fes. From what I read most cities do things slightly differently. With the exception of a couple of hiccups - I didn't get both papers I needed at the consulate the first day, the day we went back was an American holiday & consulate was closed so we had one full day of lost time. Even with that and a couple of other things, we were married in two weeks in Casa.

Kenitra also did not require a 30 day waiting period after the police interview, that portion took 5 days for us from my interview to the approval being sent to the court. Total of 21 days from arrival date in Maroc to marriage contract being finalized and officially filed.

There are quite a lot of places where you can get Arabic to English translation. I do suggest going to Rabat or Casa for this, the translators there will be faster and cheaper. I believe we our translator was Khalil ElFati out of Rabat, he handled all of our translation needs, he was quick, inexpensive, and very familiar with the requirements for the US government regarding Arabic to English translation. I also suggest paying for extra original translations as back-ups if you can swing it.
