Hi, i just have a quick question.

I'm petitioning my mother and the interview is at the end of this month. Suddenly this question came to my mind.

Does my mother need to bring her local bank saving statement to the interview? Or it's not needed?

It should be enough as long as my mother takes my past 3 years' tax returns and W-2 forms as well as I-864EZ that i submitted to NVC.

I'm a little confused with petitioning her on a visit visa. I remember i told her to asj her local bank to issue a saving statement and take it with her to the interview.

But i guess her finacial situation has nothing to do with immigrant visa. It depends on petitioner's.

Is my understanding correct?

No, there's no need for her to carry her own financial statements. Quite irrelevant to the IV, but yes, it is required for the NIV tourist visa.

As long as she has a copy of YOUR financial documents (tax returns, W2, bank statement, pay stub etc) that should be sufficient.

Thanks Sachinky. If my income is over 125% poverty, is tax return & W-2 form enough? I don't need to send over bank statement or pay stubs, do I?

wait a minute - you already pushed through the I-864 at NVC. Study yer copy, compare all to the published poverty guidelines.

if you feel it's still not enough, then review the assets computation.

It IS a good idea, regardless, to show pay stubs for the last 6 months, as well..

USUALLY GUZ IV wants to see a letter of employment, as well.

I did send a copy of my employment letter to my mother already so she has a copy, is that okay?

I'm planning to scan my stubs in the past 6 months as well. I can forget about the bank statement, right?

Sachinky, I just saw your reply and I am a little confused. I thought that the I-864 package that I sent to the NVC would be sent to the consulate in my country for the beneficiary's interview. Will my mom still need to bring a copy of the AOS package? Should I send her a copy of my tax returns, tax transcripts, and letter of employment? Thanks.

It is recommended that the beneficiary carry a copy of every set of documents that have been submitted to NVC.
