Processing time to get visa

hi friends,

my wife recently became a us citizen in 26,may,2010.we got married in december 2008.after marriage my wife apply I-130 form for spouse visa on green card.now, recently she apply a new form for change my priority.yesterday, she got a phone from us embassy that a documents will be sent with in 45 days for my finger prints.i want to know that now she is us citizen also my priority has been change.how much time is left for the visa interview.after finger prints how many steps are left for visa interview

You might want to ask your wife-

to ask NVC about 'which visa' you will be interviewing for - K-3 or CR-1/IR-1. (NVC may not know anything about the petition, I assume it was held at USCIS, instead, because of the LPR status)

Things have changed up much, with the K-3 validity, since she first applied for you.

Now, if you are confused re: K-3 vs CR-1, and IF yer wife did NOT file any I-129F form after receiving the NOA-1 on the I-130 petition -

then yer prolly gonna stick with CR-1 processing, at NVC.

I would also verify whether or not she got a call from US Embassy in India, or the NVC office in USA.

re: fingerprints - this is usually done at the Embassy itself (some VFS offices in India do this, instead), and this is done AFTER NVC PROCESSING IS COMPLETED.
