Was your visa issued the same Day on your Passport?

My wife and Daughter have a CR1 Interview in July. It would be helpful to know how long it takes to have visa issued after interview ready for travel to the USA.

Hello my friend!!

The answer is NO...They used to issue the visa in 1 to 3 days and in about 5 days she will receive at the address she informed. She will pay for this service (delivery passport) and she will get a track number where she will be able to follow.

You'll probably be given the option to pick it up a day or two later or to have it sent by Sedex to you (it's what I chose and it arrived the 3rd day after my interview).

Just an observation To Ladylethal - We are not allowed to pick up the passport anymore - We must to pay the mail that they have inside the consulate to forward the issued passport to our address.Back in 2006 that was possible now not anymore.
