Hi,

I applied for my I-485 in August 2009 originally, had to then apply for a co-sponsor, and received an initial approval of my I-130 on December 10. The date of my wife and my interview was also December 10. After sending in some documentation requested by the immigration officer, I was sent a "Removal Of Conditional Status" notice, which was signed by me, my wife, and the Immigration Officer, and dated Feb 04 2010. The form basically states:

Pursuant to Section 216 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, you have been granted COnditional Permanent Resident Status as of 02-04-2010 (date was written in). You must file Form I-751, Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence, between 11-04-2011 and 02-04-2012...

The form goes on from there, but little else is relevant to this. My question is this: it is now June 2010. I have received no Card in the mail, nor official looking documents (this document is FAR from official looking). What's more, when I check the USCIS site, it states:

12/11/2009 I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Meaning the last time my file was even looked at was 12/11/2009. Why the disconnect here? Has anyone else received this "half piece of paper" as an approval notice?

As a side note, I have received my EAD card, and my SSN. But I want to be able to return home for a wedding soon, and still nothing (some 4 months after this "approval").

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone suggest I call somebody? I have attached the paper (with pertinent stuff whited out) Thanks!

** moved from "Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from Family Based Visas" to "Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas" as you are adjusting from a visa other than a K1, K2, K3 & K4**

I've never seen a form like that before. Was it something you signed at interview?

Sounds like you need an Infopass appointment.

It was something we signed at the interview. Thanks for the advice. I have applied for an Infopass meeting. I thought it was pretty uncommon. Still interested to know if anyone out there has seen this before!
