Would like to get some input from those who have passed before me, so I can allay our anxieties. My fiancee along with her 7 yr daughter are finally scheduled to arrive from Cuba into Miami International. Unfortunately I'll be waiting in Phoenix, their final destination, to greet them.

Is there anything in particular to prepare her as she goes through immigration? Is there a separate process for her entry compared to other visitors who are entering the U.S. Will she need to request for certain documents like employment authorization documents? How much time will she need to get through? I gave her a five hour window to make her "connection" hoping that will be sufficient.

Any ideas how I can send her a phone at the Miami airport or a credit card so she won't be "stranded" at the airport.

depending on how busy the POE she may get sent to secondary inspection... no big deal but a possibility because the front line is too busy to handle the extra processing required..... Five hrs. should be plenty of time

YMMV
