Hey everyone,

I am new to the forum, but it has already provided me with a lot of valuable information!

Here are my questions:

1. My I485 status says "request for evidence" and it reads "On June 2, 2010, we received your response to our request for evidence."

I am pretty sure I didn't send any "response" after my initial filling in May. Anyone know what that means?

2. My I765 status is still at "Initial Review" even though it was sent together with the I485. Is that normal?

3. I successfully completed my biometrics today. I just walked in 20 days before my actual appointment. Will that help speed up the process?

4. I read some things about volunteer work being OK while you wait for your EAD. Would it also be OK to start a (unpaid) training with the company that will eventually hire you after you receive the EAD?

Many thanks in advance for any helpful responses!

1. I am not sure; maybe when the updated the swapped the file with somebody else. I would give them a call and ask about it. Did u receive and RFE?

2. I have my 2 yrs GC since last July (2009) and my i-131 and i-485 are still not showing up :)..so it's kind of normal; i would not get paranoid over this.

3. It might; you are 20 days less in the process :)

4. As long as it's unpaid I don't see why you would do something wrong.

Good luck
