Do we have to update USCIS if we change a job in same state after applying for CR1 for spouse?

I have applied for CR1 for my husband (beneficiary), received NOA1, still waiting for NOA2.

During CR1 process, do we update the USCIS with change in the job (for petitioner) in the same state, being the residence the same and if we update does it slower the visa process?

You can update the petitioner's employment on the DS-230 (question #17 "Spouses Occupation) which will be submitted to NVC. Unrequested info sent to USCIS is often difficult to match up to your petition.

No, it should have no effect on the processing of your petition. Once the I-130 petition is approved your case moves to NVC and you can update your information at that point. Good luck!
