hehe I suppose every one is different. I'm slightly self-centered so can't be around people all the time.

My husband also works in the restaurant industry so he works weekends and nights a lot during the week. I work days. There are times during the year that we continually miss eachother for over a week sometimes. It doesn't bother me that much.

I hear ya! lol I enjoy my alone time!! I just got back from a month in Canada and wife is away. I wont see her until July 4th long weekend in Rhode Island.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

7 more sleeps til we leave for the Grand Canyon... :D I found out a few months back that it is less then a days drive from us..

we are going through Phoenix first to take a tour of the baseball stadium and to watch the Dodgers play the Diamondbacks.. hubby's dream is to visit all the baseball stadiums in the US... this will be the 4th one... we still have a ways to go....

after Grand Canyon we are going to drive up through Utah and then down to Vegas....

we plan on sleeping in the car to save money except we are camping for 1 night at the Grand Canyon and probably will stay 1 night in a hotel in Vegas.....there are plenty of rest areas and truck stops on our route so this shouldn't be a problem

should be a fun trip! :)

so my hubby has this lump on his throat that isn't cancerous.. it is called a thyroglossal cyst..

"A thyroglossal cyst is a fibrous cyst that forms from a persistent thyroglossal duct."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thyroglossal_cyst

A persistent thyroglossal duct is a usually benign medical condition in which the thyroglossal duct, a structure usually only found during embryonic development, fails to atrophy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persistent_thyroglossal_duct

anywho, a few years back it got infected but it went away on it's own but it got infected again a few months back and now they want to take it out.. this will probably happen next month or maybe in September.. the doctor said he would give him two weeks off to heal but we think he will probably need longer because his job is very labour intensive.. a lot of bending and picking things up etc... it would be paid time off after they take the rest of his vacation and sick days for the year by FMLA

they not only remove the duct but the bone attached to it to or it could come back...

i find it a little odd that my almost 19 year old brother seems to be dating one of my 16 year old sister's friends

my brother was in a long term relationship for a while and when they broke up I had found a plane ticket with her birthday on it... turns out she was younger than me... made me want to puke.

Then last year my brother and my husbands friend hooked up.... BIG age difference there I wanted to smack him :bonk:
