I have PCOS too. If you can't/won't go back on birth control what they can do is prescribe you Glucophage(Metphormin). I'm not gonna lie, this ####### is terrible. You and the bathroom will become BFF's, but it seems to work. I found out I had it when I was 11 and then I had a flare up 6 months ago, and my doctor wanted me to try this. PCOS is one of the roughest things you'll go through if you ever have a ruptured cyst, and I don't know if I'll ever be able to have children. Mathew and I have been trying for 3 months(or as we put it, we're stopping the not trying lol) and still nothing. :(

Awe... If you want children I hope that it happens soon but a word of advice is do not think about it. I have endometriosis and have had some serious problems in the past with it.I was told I probably not ever have children due it that and my blood disorder. Took 3 years to conceive my son (not trying but not doing anything to stop it).

Then 4 years to conceive this pregnancy and I worked damn hard to make it happen lol However the first two years were again not doing anything to stop it from happening and the last 2 years were hard core doing anything and everything recommended by friends, family, doctors and specialists. The funniest part is that when I finally gave in to it will happen when it happens, I got pregnant that month lol.

I should also add that I know two people. My mom and my moms friend who had disorders or problems who eventrually (without any help) got pregnant. My mom had In-vitro for years with no luck then one day 4 years later she finds out she is pregnant. My moms friend was told she and her husband had a 1 in a million chance of conceiving, she decides to change careers to a school teacher and must move far from her husband for a few months so they have this romantic weekend together before she leaves, 3 months later she finds out she is pregnant.( he had a low count and she had PCOS I believe).

Ok I shut up now lol

I have been busy working in my gardens the last few weeks, taking it easy of course and having the man do all the hard stuff or the kids if he's at work. Well this weekend I've finished my veggie garden. I did the planting for the most part and hubby did the tilling and made my rows for me. I have 2 flower beds done one that the youngest made me last year around a tree using the sand stones we dug up when we put in a french drain. That flower bed looks so nice this year, the other one is at the front of the house, only two left to go. I don't know what got into to me but I managed to wash our truck (hubby rode his bike to work. Hopefully I didn't miss any spots. Now I'm tired and sore but I feel so good at the same time. :bonk: I did notice that my belly is now getting in the way of some things. So I figure I deserve a couple peanut butter balls. :star:

I love the planting part the weeding this year will be passed on to someone else. I don't think I will have enough time for that this year. But fresh veggies are the best.

Enjoy yourself when you get to make your garden Marilyn, small or large it can be so much fun.

I wish I could find a place where you could rent a garden plot area. In a couple of months Emma will be starting solids and I would love to be able to give her stuff that is fresh grown. I would have thought that living in a warmer climate that fruit and veggie would be a lot cheaper than they are. I find that the prices are the same or in some cases even more for produce here :(

I mentioned this on Facebook but the manager of our current place called us yesterday and basically begged us to stay :P she said if it was the money that she could reduce the rent.. but I told her that we just wanted more privacy, yard and a better parking situation. She said that she was sorry to see us go...

it is hard to find tenants like us :P.. we don't cause a fuss and no one complains about us etc... and in the 4 1/2 years we lived here we were only late with our rent once but we told them we would be ahead of time...

Come to DC and rent from us!! lol Were going with a property management co. to look after our place, so hopefully all goes well and we find good renters that don't demolish the place. I wanted to just sell the place at a rock bottom price to avoid the rental hassles--but the wife wanted to rent it out, so to keep peace will go that route, lol Just can't wait to get out of DC!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I have been to a couple, but they are pretty small and are about the same price as what the grocery store is (although I would much rather support local farmers than big corporations). They have some co-ops as well, where you buy shares and get a certain amount of fresh veg each week and you get what ever is in season that week, so I may look into that as well. I definitely want to make the majority of our baby food when the time comes...it would just be a lot easier to go out and pick what ever I want/need!

Agree about the veggies. I'm hoping I can find a local Farmer's Market around here. I'm still getting to know the area so keeping my fingers crossed.

The property management company is a great way to go. And it was very helpful to receive the year-end amounts for tax purposes. The only issues I have run into is them deducting amounts (twice now) from the monthly cheque for contracted maintenance services which should have been run by me prior to the deduction. I do expect to have some costs associated with maintaining the house, but I do object to covering the cost of the tenant calling an electrician to reset the breaker following a storm. <_<

This property management company makes sure the new tenants meet with them and they go what is covered what isn't, whats considered an emergency, etc etc! Have many many good reviews from them. We shall see
