No it's not really my priority at the moment. Maybe in the next couple years. I have other things going on and I need a break from Immigration stuff.

That's 3 and a half hours from here :crying: but I will check out that link from Udella.

My hubby says he think there's one about 1hr from here, still a bit on the far side just for a blizzard.

I drove from Dc area out to a Tim Hortons in West Virginia for a day trip! Was close to a 10 hr day just for a ttl of 3XL coffees,lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I asked this on Facebook but I figured I would run this by you guys too..

does this sound legit to you guys? This lady needs a babysitter from 5:30am to 7:30 am.. Mon, Tues, Wed and you have to take them to school.. she says she will pay 35 dollars a day plus 5 dollars a day for gas... :o

I found the ad on craigslist and emailed her asking about the rate and that is what she told me.. the ad seems legit.. I can kind of tell.. and if i would go for an interview I would try and get my husband to come with me and wait in the car...

It could very well be legit--as one has to pay a premium price to get someone to come in for just a few hrs! I know RN's that have found legit jobs on CL!! Not everyone is crazy,lol. Just have to be safe!
